Terms of Service
Last updated: June 23, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Delco Cargo website and the freight forwarding and logistics services we provide. By requesting a quote, booking a shipment, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms.
Our services
Delco Cargo arranges the transport of goods by ocean, air, and road, along with customs brokerage, warehousing, and related logistics services. We act as a freight forwarder and, where applicable, our services are subject to recognized standard trading conditions and the relevant international transport conventions.
Quotes and bookings
Quotes are based on the information you provide and are valid for the period stated. Rates may change if cargo details, routing, or carrier conditions differ from those quoted. A booking is confirmed once we accept it in writing.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate and complete details about your cargo, including weights, dimensions, and commodity descriptions;
- Declare any dangerous, hazardous, or restricted goods before shipping;
- Ensure goods are lawful to import and export and properly packed for transport;
- Supply required documentation accurately and on time.
Charges and payment
Charges are payable as set out in your quote or invoice. Duties, taxes, and third-party charges incurred on your behalf are your responsibility. Late payment may result in goods being held until outstanding amounts are settled.
Liability
Our liability for loss of or damage to cargo is limited in accordance with the applicable standard trading conditions and international conventions governing the relevant mode of transport. We strongly recommend arranging cargo insurance for the full value of your shipment.
Cargo insurance
Unless you ask us to arrange insurance, your cargo is not insured beyond the limited liability described above. We can arrange all-risk cover on request.
Force majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including weather, port congestion, strikes, customs action, or carrier disruption.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the contracting Delco Cargo entity is established, and disputes are subject to the courts of that jurisdiction.
